I am crazy about the souk rug

A while ago, I ordered the souk rug from West Elm. We have great hardwood floors throughout the house but I love putting my feet on silky super soft rugs. To me, it also makes a home so much more cozy. I have had my eye on the West Elm souk rug, handcrafted from New Zealand wool. It seems to be on back order or out of stock often, probably because it is so popular. Once it arrived (after waiting many weeks) it was even better than expected. I love the big frills, the super soft feel and the pattern. We were going to put it in our parlor but it turned out to be the perfect fit for the entry way.  If the souk rug is not available, you can take a look at some of these other options, or if you do feel like waiting, you will not be disappointed.

    1. We usually don't wear shoes in the house so it has stayed fairly clean. I haven't had to clean it much. I usually shake it out followed by a vacuum which fluffs it up again.

  2. Does the souk rug seem to shed a lot? I got a similar rug from RugsUSA and there is a constant flurry of fuzz in the air and on my floors. I am looking to replace it and love the West Elm option, but am worried about the shedding! Thanks. Ellen

  3. Hi. I know this is an old post, but how is the shedding on this rug?

  4. It does shed but it's not as bad as most wool rugs. If you have a good vacuum cleaner you are fine.

  5. Hi. I recently purchased this rug from someone who did not care for it at all. Have you ever had to fully wash yours? The one I bought is quite dirty and the shag is worn throughout. Is it possible to save it?
