Summer time at Loose Park

One of my favorite parks in Kansas City is Loose park. Its only a few minute drive from where we live and whenever it is nice outside we meet up with Kate and Luka.  It was in the mid 70s yesterday so we all enjoyed some sunshine and blue skies. It is interesting to me that both Sas and Luka choose rocks, dirt, sticks and hiding in the bushes over playing on the play structure. They can enjoy themselves endlessly just goofing around. Next time, we are going to bring a blanket so we can soak up some additional sunshine. As for today, we are staying in because it is SNOWING! Kansas City weather is something else.

Loose Park- Spring time

Another beautiful day at Loose park. Unfortunately, I just had my iphone camera. The trees were in bloom and the fountains have been turned on. The duckies, geese and koi fish were all having a great time.

Inspiration: Dinner at the park

Now that most of our guests have gone home (my parents went back to Holland, my friend just flew home on Sunday and my husband's business partner just flew home tonight) and we have a little less socializing to do, I can start thinking about a new project.  Liz already came up with a brilliant idea to host "an evening at the park" for our friends.  I am sure it is partly inspired by the various pop up dinners that are being hosted all over the continent. I have been dreaming about our little dinner ever since.  I envision a lovely evening with friends at Loose park, right around dusk.  It will be a warm evening with a slight breeze with lovely food and cool libations and twinkly little lights everywhere.  I have no doubt it will be an amazing night.  Here are some of my inspirations for an evening at the park.
