West bottoms not only has good eats, it also has some great vintage and antique shopping. We decided to go and check it out last weekend. It is just kind of an odd place, lots of abandoned buildings a midst vintage stores and creepy haunted houses (special ghost and gangster tours are offered on Fridays and Saturdays- eeeek). However, it makes for a nice leisurely stroll on a Saturday (make sure you go on the first Saturday of the month since most stores are only opening their doors then- some stores are open every weekend). We usually don't buy anything other than a cupcake and coffee (the streets usually fill up with food trucks) but this time around (maybe because it was my birthday) we got 2 rooster plates. I am not sure what I am going to do with them yet but surely they will come in handy at a party for some horse d'oeuvres.
p.s. It also makes for a great setting for a music video directed and produced by Paul, Adam and Michelle!
