A night at the cellar rat

Liz invited me to go out for an evening at the Cellar Rat last night. She had signed up for a wine tasting class so at 6pm we ran out to our old stomping ground- the crossroads area.  It was super busy downtown but we made it in the nick of time.  We sat at a large family style table with 10 other people and learned all about white wines, red wines, how to swirl, taste and spit.  Thankfully midway through the tasting, they also brought out some delicious cheese samplers (I was starving)- they had a great sharp cheddar that I absolutely loved. Unfortunately, the tray was too far out of my reach so I only managed to snatch a couple of bites.  All in all it was a great and informative evening.  I have discovered that I am a big fan of Rieslings.

p.s. I just can't get enough of their logo. I love that little rat!
